I think whoever does not believe in Vicente Del Bosque is wrong. He has proven his value, no matter what has happened in this World Cup.
I don’t think our elimination should have a bearing on him continuing. He should speak with the Federation and decide what they all want to do, but Del Bosque has earned the respect and admiration of many people in the national team and in Real Madrid.
I also think we have misused Diego Costa. He makes good moves and he allows others players to create chances but we depended on that too much. Furthermore, our lack of experience in playing this way has not helped.
Against Chile, it seemed like Costa was always the option but we had other players to pick out like Iniesta or Silva. I would have liked to see more of Iniesta.
It seemed like Spain did not know what to do or how to react, and we were also unlucky as Chile had two chances and scored twice.
The team did not turn up, it was a continuation of the first game. There were bad decisions without ball and bad tactical positions. During the second half, we saw more intensity and movements, like we were used to.
I should also stress that Spain had no luck during the competition. Sometimes you need to be lucky to win and it seemed like Spain would not score against Chile even if they played for a whole day.
I think Spain had chances, not as many as usual, but there were some attempts. I missed the freshness and ideas. I read that some players have said they were tired. My impression is that there was lack of speed and intensity.
Now many people are criticizing the players, but few of them spoke up before the World Cup.
